Vedo Drops New Track “Split” Following Recent Release of “Intentional”

1 min read

R&B sensation Vedo is back in the spotlight, just three weeks after the release of his hit track “Intentional,” with a brand new single titled “Split.” Co-produced by the talented Cubeatz (known for working with Drake and Future) and Keyz (noted for collaborations with Chris Brown and Keyshia Cole), “Split” brings a fresh vibe to Vedo’s discography.

In “Split,” Vedo paints a vivid picture of a scenario familiar to many lovers. It portrays two individuals engaged in a passionate disagreement that eventually leads to reconciliation between the sheets. Through his smooth crooning, Vedo captures the essence of this passionate dynamic: “Got a confession / When you get mad at me, baby, I think it’s sexy / That’s why whenever we’re fighting, it leads to the bedroom / I wanna love on you even when I can’t stand you.”

The inspiration behind “Split,” as shared by Vedo, revolves around the notion that many people find their significant other’s anger oddly attractive, even when it might seem like an overreaction. He suggests that this emotional intensity is their way of conveying, “Don’t play with me,” and it serves as a clear sign of their genuine care. Vedo humorously warns that when their partner stops getting upset, a significant problem may be looming on the horizon.

Accompanying the release of “Split” is an engaging music video directed by AM Visuals. The video opens with Vedo and a love interest engaged in a heated argument before sensually redirecting that intense energy towards an entirely different realm.

“Split” is the follow-up to Vedo’s August 18 release, “Intentional.” Both tracks will be featured on Vedo’s upcoming album, which follows his January release, “Mood Swings.” The latter album featured the hit single “Do You Mind,” featuring the renowned Chris Brown.

To mark the occasion, Vedo is set to kick off his headlining Still Having Mood Swings Tour on October 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The tour will make stops in various cities, including St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Memphis, and Dallas, before concluding on November 12 in Denver, Colorado.
