Tone Stith Drops P.O.V EP – A Soulful Exploration of Love and Heartbreak

1 min read

Singer-songwriter Tone Stith is back in the music spotlight with his latest EP, P.O.V, released under RCA Records. This seven-track collection features previously shared hits like “Girls Like You” and “I Need You,” with the latter even reaching No. 1 on iTunes’ R&B Songs chart. Stith describes it as his point of view on his first heartbreak, a significant moment that left a lasting impact on him.

On the opening track, “Smoking In The Park (Paradise),” Stith paints a picture of two lovers seeking solace in each other’s company. They relax beneath the stars, creating a dream-like atmosphere.

One of the EP’s standout tracks, “Whoa,” produced by Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Camper, exudes sensuality. Stith’s vocals are seductive as he boasts about his lover’s intense reactions to his touch.

In an earlier interview with Rated R&B, Stith revealed that P.O.V stands for “point of view.” This project reflects his perspective on love and the rollercoaster of emotions that come with it. He aims to address topics that people often shy away from discussing, wanting to show that it’s okay to love deeply and invest wholeheartedly in someone, even without knowing the outcome.

P.O.V follows Stith’s two 2021 EPs, FWM and Still FWM. The former earned him a spot on Rated R&B’s Front + Center cover and featured collaborations with artists like H.E.R., Lonr, and Kiana Ledé. It included hit singles like “Like The First Time” and the title track.

Still FWM continued the momentum with appearances from Chris Brown, Maeta, and Kenneth Paige. The EP featured tracks like “I Don’t Wanna” and “Something In The Water.”

Stith’s successful North American tours for both EPs and his performance at Roots Picnic in 2022 have solidified his presence in the R&B scene.
