Shakira and Rauw Alejandro Release An Alternative Video For Their Viral Song “Te Felicito”

1 min read

Shakira and Rauw share new visuals of their smash chart-topping single “Te Felicito.” The versatile singer from Barranquilla has always known to choose her collaborators well. The “Queen of Latin Music” works with favorite artists of the moment and this year the chosen one was the “King of Modern Reggaeton;” Rauw Alejandro.

“Te Felicito” premiered this April becoming one of this Summer’s biggest global hits. Shakira and Rauw Alejandro’s Latin electro-pop single garnered more than 320 million views on YouTube, listing both artists on top of multiple international charts.

A second recording was dropped a few days ago adding new alternative shots to the old version. In the original video, Shakira assembles Rauw piece by piece, as if he were a robot, while in this one the two appear in full flesh and blood, dancing in their human state, in the middle of a turquoise and pink neon tunnel.

The new release has already been viewed two million times, proving once again that the two make perfect dance partners. Shakira had earlier confessed to Jimmy Fallon that her kids inspired the video theme: “They were the ones with the idea. I didn’t know what to do. When I produce a video, it’s like a blank canvas and I had no idea what to do. So I asked my kids to close their eyes, listen to the song, and the youngest, Sasha, came up with the idea: “Mommy, I imagine you dancing like a robot.” Milan came up with the green fire.”
