Camila Cabello & Camilo Get Together For The Bachata Song  “Ambulancia”

1 min read

Camilo’s third studio album De Adentro Pa Afuera dropped this Tuesday, and one of the fan-favorites from the 11-track record is “Ambulancia,” a collaboration with the blazing Latina Camila Cabello.

Although the two artists have known each other for a long time they hadn’t had the chance to work together before. In an interview with the Rolling Stone, the Colombian singer talks about the first-time collaboration with Camila: “She’s a very close friend. Evaluna and I love her. We talked before about the possibility of doing a song together, but it wasn’t something we were focused on doing. So when I started the first line of the song with my guitar, I thought: ‘Absolutely, this is a song that has to do with Camila’. I sent it to her by voicemail.”

“Ambulancia” is a slow-tempo bachata and talks about an inexplicable connection; that spark and feel one gets from a special someone. Camila and Camilo smoothly exchange verses singing: “Porque las sábanas huelen a ti/ Y mi almohada pregunta que cuándo es que vas a venir,” which translates to “Because my sheets smell of you and my pillow’s asking when will you be back.” The narrative depicts a burning desire that doesn’t seem to calm the fire inside the heart: “Y si escuchan pasar un camión de bomberos/ Fue que yo los llamé porque estoy que me quemo/ Porque mi cama después de esa noche cuando tú viniste/ sigue prendida en fuego.”
