The legendary performer moderated “Premiere Party With Christina Aguilera,” where she talked about receiving the Billboard Spirit of Hope Award, responded to fan inquiries, and shared details about a brand-new unreleased song.
In other news, this week is the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards performance by Christina Aguilera. Billboard revealed that the pop icon will be joining a group of artists that includes Latin artists like Maluma, Nicky Jam, and Ozuna.
In May, Aguilera released her self-titled album, marking her return to Latin music. Her collaborations with Becky G, Nicki Nicole, and Nathy Peluso on “Pa Mis Muchachas” and Ozuna on “Santo” are featured on the album.
She will receive the Billboard Spirit Of Hope Award at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards in recognition of her career-long charitable work. Additionally, Aguilera will play “La Reina,” her female take on Vicente FernĆ”ndez’s iconic ranchera song “El Rey,” live for the first time.
Ozuna, an Aguilera collaborator, will also perform live on television to debut his single “La Copa.” The new track “Junio” by Colombian artist Maluma will be performed live for the first time. In Colombia, Manuel Turizo just performed with Coldplay, and he will sing “La Bachata,” one of the top 10 songs in the world. The song “Sin Novia” by Nicky Jam, who will receive the Billboard Hall of Fame award, will be performed.
With 23 nominations spread over 13 categories, Bad Bunny is the most nominated artist this year. Telemundo will broadcast live coverage of the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards on September 29.
