Bad Bunny will take the stage for the second time at the MTV VMAs, live from his “Worldâs Hottest Tour” at Yankee Stadium this Sunday.
The Puerto Rican isnât the first star to give a remote performance at the renowned show. Many musical legends have previously done so; in addition to Guns Nâ Roses and Michael Jackson, the English icon David Bowie had also performed from London in 1984.
The first time Bad Bunny fired up the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards was three years ago, with best-selling Colombian singer J Balvin, singing âQue Pretendes.â
With seven MTV Video Music Awards and 23 Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations, Bad Bunny is the star of the moment. The Latin rapper has been unstoppable this year. Heâs been bouncing from stage to stage and screen to screen with multiple concerts and movie deals in his pocket. If he wins in the artist and album of the year categories, the Chart-topping singer will be making history yet again by being the first non-English-language artist to receive an award of that kind.
