Phoenix-based shoegaze ensemble Glixen has unveiled their newest single, “foreversoon,” available today via AWAL. Following the success of their EP She Only Said on Julia’s War, this release marks a significant leap forward for the band, showcasing their distinct blend of fuzzy guitars and emotive vocals.

Lead vocalist Aislinn Ritchie describes “foreversoon” as an exploration of blissful moments in new love and intimacy, enveloped in melancholic chords and gliding guitars. The track invites listeners into a heartfelt conversation that captures the essence of infatuation and sensuality, preserving fleeting memories for eternity.

With today’s release, Glixen offers a glimpse into the heavier sound of their upcoming sophomore EP, slated for release later this year. Having toured extensively and shared stages with notable acts like Hotline TNT and Cowgirl Clue, the band’s growth shines through on “foreversoon,” marking a defining moment in their musical evolution.

As Glixen embarks on a spring tour across the US alongside Softcult, Glitterer, and fish narc, they are poised to captivate audiences in major markets such as New York and Chicago. Their itinerary also includes appearances at prominent festivals like SXSW and Treefort, following their performance at Nothing.’s Slide Away Festival in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 9.
