Hovvdy Releases Dreamy Single “Bubba” Depicting Siblinghood

1 min read

Indie duo Hovvdy has unveiled their latest single, “Bubba,” produced by Andrew Sarlo and Ben Littlejohn. The dreamy track narrates a tale of wanting to extend a helping hand, presented from two perspectives—the brother (Bubba) and his sister. The song explores the theme of siblinghood amid challenging times and the shared journey of overcoming difficulties together.

Charlie Martin, one-half of the band, shared insights into the song, expressing gratitude for having an older brother through childhood challenges. He reflects on the complexities of growing older, processing experiences individually, and the emotional landscape explored in “Bubba.”

Accompanying the release is a music video filmed inside a car, featuring captivating visuals accentuated by blue lighting. The band will be playing several dates throughout the remainder of 2023, with upcoming tour support for Cold War Kids in 2024.
