Destin Conrad has embarked on a new era in his music journey with the release of his latest single, “Luv n Devotion.”
This island-tinged track was co-written by Destin Conrad and the talented singer, songwriter, and producer Leven Kali, known for his work with artists like Beyoncé and Jazmine Sullivan. The production was a joint effort with Sol Was, who has also collaborated with Beyoncé and Alina Baraz.
In “Luv n Devotion,” we find Conrad under the influence of alcohol, seeing a former lover through fresh eyes. He’s hopeful that this time, their relationship will flourish. As he sings, “If we do this one more time / Promise to me that it’s going to be one more time / ‘Cause my heart can’t take this for real / I can’t be jaded for real / We can’t keep breaking this deal.”
“Luv n Devotion” marks Conrad’s fourth solo release this year, starting with “Switch” in March. He later treated fans to “To This Day,” featuring Musiq Soulchild, which was initially exclusive to Spotify but is now available on all streaming platforms.
Speaking about working with Musiq Soulchild, Conrad expressed his excitement, saying, “To work in the same studio with a legend like Musiq Soulchild is something I still can’t fully put into words. I’ve been a fan of his since before I can remember, and now we have a song together.”
In August, Conrad introduced “Outta Control,” a track produced by Louie Lastic and Ghetto Kids.
Throughout this year, Conrad has also lent his talent as a featured artist, collaborating with Austin Millz, Kiana Ledé, and Mahalia for their respective releases.
