Talented R&B singer and songwriter Mariah the Scientist has officially joined the Epic Records roster, home to an array of renowned artists such as Sade, GivÄon, Tori Kelly, Future, and Travis Scott.
Mariah the Scientist is excited about this new chapter in her career, noting that she was initially hesitant to sign a new deal but was delighted to find a partner that understands her as an artist and offers the infrastructure to support her in the best possible way.
Her new label partnership coincides with the release of her latest single, “From A Woman,” produced by London on da Track. The song tells a heartfelt story about falling in love and having the courage to take a chance, with lyrics like, “Look at the trust closing in / Hereās to someone I can depend on, yes / Sent from above, I am convinced / If it isnāt luck, I guess love exists.”
“From A Woman” follows her 2022 track “Bout Mine” and is included on her upcoming album, To Be Eaten Alive, set to be released on October 27th, her birthday. The album’s title was inspired by the unique dynamics between scorpions, signifying an unpredictable match that results in mutual respect.
While the full tracklist is yet to be revealed, Mariah the Scientist has confirmed a collaboration with rapper Young Thug on a track called “Ride.”
To Be Eaten Alive is the highly-anticipated follow-up to her EP, Buckles Laboratories Presents: The Intermission. It is also her first album under Epic Records, as her previous projects were released with RCA Records.
