Bachata King Romeo Santos is ready to drop the third edition of Formula, which follows 2014âs Formula Vol. 2, released eight years ago. Santos teases his fans with a video of a crown spinning round as he says: âYou donât forget Romeo! Y yo, ni te recuerdo (And me, I donât even remember you).â
Formula Vol. 1 and Formula Vol. 2 were massive hits, bringing Santos worldwide recognition. The leader of Aventura has made his debut as a solo artist with Formula Vol. 1, collaborating with household names like Usher ,topping the charts, and getting his name up there among mega superstars like Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Victor Manuelle. Romeo has landed 43 entries on the Hot Latin Songs chart. With seven No. 1 songs, Santos is the third Latin artist to have the most number one singles. âOdio,â featuring Drake, stayed at the top of the charts for 13 weeks.
Nobody can deny that Santos has revolutionized Bachata. Superstars like Bad Bunny, RosalĂa, the Weeknd, C. Tangana, and Nathy Peluso have all incorporated the genre into their music. As the Latin singer-songwriter has previously mentioned: âWe were always fly. We were always killing it. But now, everyoneâs paying attention.â
Romeo Santos will be joining Camilo, Ivy Queen, Chayanne, Nicky Jam, Eslabon Armado, Bizarrap, Blessd, and Luis R. Conriquez for Billboard Latin Music Week.
