In order to continue celebrating the success of “Monotonía,” Shakira has introduced a new challenge. The Colombian singer asked her followers to dance to her and Ozuna’s bachata on social media.
Along with a video of her dancing with Juli Trujillo, popularly known as Truji Bachata, Shakira posted on Instagram. The Barranquillera makes an appearance in the video sporting baggy pants and a long-sleeved blouse with cutouts.
“Bachateros! The challenge is to get out of the box and arrive on time. If not, ask my colleague Truji,”
Together with multi-award-winning musician and international sensation Ozuna, the singer-songwriter and multiple GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winners released the song “Monotonía.” The mother of two and long-term partner Jaume de la Iguana co-directed the official music video for the bachata.
The video shoot, which was shot in Manresa, Spain, created a frenzy while it was being shot, with fans fawning over the whole team. The video debuted on billboards in Paramount Times Square as well as on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop, and across MTV Latin America.
Shakira started promoting the song on social media, sparking a flurry of excitement and publicity. The second song from Shakira’s next album, “Monotonía,” has been eagerly awaited. It follows the huge success of her previous single, “Te Felicito,” which she co-wrote with Rauw Alejandro and topped the Billboard Latin Airplay chart earlier this year.
