PinkPantheress is getting fans ready for summer with her new single, “Turn It Up“. Released on Friday (May 24), this marks her first track of 2024. The British pop sensation’s song samples the iconic keys from Selena‘s beloved ballad “Dreaming of You“. In the song, the 21-year-old expresses her feelings to a potential love interest, singing, “Come sit with me right there/ Maybe kiss me right there/ I’m here peakin’/ I got the time with you, that’s what I want tonight/ Boy, just show your devotion.”
PinkPantheress teased her followers with a 12-second preview of the lively track on TikTok, featuring a tour of her vibrant home. She also asked her fans to help identify the source of the voice saying “turn it up” in the song, promising to personally meet and shake hands with whoever figures it out.
Recognized as the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Producer of the Year, PinkPantheress completed her headlining tour in April. She is set to hit the road again, joining Olivia Rodrigo‘s Guts World Tour this summer, starting on July 19 in Philadelphia. Additional stops include Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and more. Later this year, she will also support Coldplay on their tour dates in Australia and New Zealand.
