Zendaya Dazzles at the Met Gala in Spectacular Peacock-Inspired Gown

Zendaya made a striking return to the Met Gala on May 6, 2024, after a five-year hiatus, capturing the spotlight in a breathtaking peacock-inspired dress. As a co-chair for this year’s event, themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” the actress wowed onlookers in a dramatic creation by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. Styled by her longtime collaborator Law Roach, the gown featured layers of black, blue, and green tulle adorned with berries and leaves, creating a mesmerizing visual effect.

Zendaya complemented her show-stopping gown with bold beauty choices, including smoky eyes and maroon lipstick. Her accessories—a pair of striking bird earrings and an elaborate feather fascinator—added an extra touch of drama.

Prior to the gala, Zendaya attended Anna Wintour’s pre-Met dinner, where she donned a vintage John Galliano lace gown from the designer’s fall 1998 collection. This ensemble, featuring a sheer pink floral top and butterfly embroidery, aligned with the event’s theme and nods to the dress code inspired by J.G. Ballard’s short story, “The Garden of Time.”
