Australian singer Julia Jacklin, known for her album Pre-Pleasure, has unveiled plans for an extensive residency tour in 2024. The tour will include performances in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Brooklyn, showcasing Jacklin’s personal and intimate approach to live shows.
Starting in March and continuing each month, Jacklin will make venues like Brooklynās National Sawdust, Las Vegasā Beverly Theatre, and Los Angelesās Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever her home. The singer expressed her vision for these residencies, emphasizing a sense of play and exploration.
Jacklin stated, “Iām approaching next yearās shows with a sense of play. I want to write on the go, try things out, and slow things down for a second. I want to stay in the same city for more than a night and have some breathing room between each show to think about what Iām doing, why Iām drawn to songwriting and public performance, and how I can change my practices to be more sustainable.”
She added, “Maybe I can even work on my enduring stage fright in intimate rooms where I can see peopleās faces, feel their support, and remember that this is all just about connecting with other people at the end of the day.”
