Rising star LAYA is ready to make waves in the music industry once again as she announces her upcoming EP, Bet That, scheduled to release on September 1st through Warner Records. Following the success of her 2022 EP, Um, Hello, also released under the same label, LAYA is set to deliver another remarkable musical journey for her fans.
In line with the exciting announcement, LAYA shares the official artwork for Bet That. The artwork features a rebellious portrayal of the artist, capturing her unique essence with her mouth open and one knee confidently resting on a motorcycle seat.
Bet That is a seven-track EP that showcases LAYA‘s diverse musical style. The lead single, “F’d Up,” was unveiled last month, accompanied by a lyric video that provided a glimpse into the song’s vibe and themes.
A standout track on Bet That is “Need 2 Know,” a fresh release produced by the talented Paul Chadwick Norman and Dante Carter. This song exudes a powerful energy that brings to mind Rihanna‘s hit “Kiss It Better,” although it takes a different lyrical direction. LAYA uses “Need 2 Know” to emphasize the importance of honesty and transparency in romantic relationships, even when uncomfortable truths need to be shared.
