Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Jeremih is making his foray into the wine and spirits industry with the launch of his new chardonnay brand, Birthday Sex, named after his hit debut single from 2009. Partnering with LiveOne, a music, entertainment, and technology platform based in Los Angeles, California, Jeremih‘s new venture falls under LiveOne Brands, a division featuring celebrity-endorsed and branded products.
Collaborating closely with Napa Valley/Sonoma winemaker Russell Bevan, Jeremih aims to bottle up the feeling of celebration and anticipation, just like in his song “Birthday Sex.” He shares that, contrary to common belief, he has always been a white wine enthusiast and wanted to create a unique wine brand that resonates with his audience.
The brand’s website describes Birthday Sex as a captivating Chardonnay, handpicked from premier vineyards and crafted with love and celebration in mind. The wine boasts a unique blend of vibrant fruit flavors and subtle oak nuances, aiming to make every moment feel like a celebration.
Preorders for Birthday Sex are already available, with orders of six bottles or more signed by Jeremih himself. The song “Birthday Sex” achieved significant success, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning platinum certifications for over one million copies sold. In 2020, it was recognized as 4x multi-platinum for surpassing four million equivalent sales units and continues to amass streams on platforms like Spotify.
As Jeremih hits the road for 50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour, he plans to perform “Birthday Sex” and introduce his new beverage at select shows on the world tour, which kicks off on July 21 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In addition to his wine venture, Jeremih recently celebrated his birthday by releasing a new song titled “Room,” featuring Adekunle Gold and 2 Chainz. This marks his first song release of the year, following his 2022 single “Changes.”
