Mexican-American trio Yahritza y Su Esencia and cumbia/norteño group Grupo Frontera have teamed up for their latest collaboration, “Frágil,” which was released on April 7th along with a music video. The video features Yahritza in dark sunglasses, showcasing her deep, heartfelt vocals, while the sibling trio plays in the back of an orange pickup truck. Grupo Frontera appears alongside Yahritza, complementing her singing with their signature cumbia rhythms, as the two bands jam and sing about heartbreak in what appears to be an isolated plain area. The video also shows the groups enjoying a carne asada and drinking beer. The track ends with an acoustic guitar solo from the trio’s Armando, aka “Mando.”

This highly-anticipated collaboration was teased by Yahritza y Su Esencia since February, and during the red carpet event at Premio Lo Nuestro 2023, the vocalist revealed that a collaboration with Grupo Frontera was on its way. The two groups performed the song live for the first time at Tecate Pal’ Norte in Monterrey, Mexico, in front of 100,000 fans.
