Los Angeles Welcomes Lights Cumbia And Bomba Estéreo

Bomba Estéreo is skilled at producing spectacular shows. Simón Meja and Li Saumet, who created the Colombian band in Bogotå in 2005, are now on their Deja World Tour with special guest Madame Vacile. The band played two more nights in Los Angeles after a surprise appearance with Bad Bunny at Sofi Stadium on Friday. Their last performance was on Sunday at the Hollywood Palladium.

With fantastic performance, Madame Vacile got the party started. They invited Fabi Reyna from Reyna Tropical, who is tremendously talented and just lost Nectali Diaz, or “Sumo Hair,” to the stage to perform a few songs, including a version of “Que Bonito” by Bomba EstĂ©reo. Bomba EstĂ©reo hit the stage shortly after, and their presence was immediately felt.

Saumet arrived dressed in a very vivid two-piece neon green ensemble with a massive pink coat with ruffles. She joined her band, which played the Gaita and other melodic instruments as they filled the auditorium with electronic and traditional Colombian culture drumming.

The utilization of lights and lasers made the event unlike any other, even if the music could have stood alone without them. The light shows transported spectators and featured elements more often found at larger festivals. There was a brief instance when the combination of lights, lasers, and smoke caused what seemed to be an extraterrestrial cloud to briefly float above the pit.

Bomba EstĂ©reo did not perform “Ojitos lindos” by Bad Bunny, although they were not required to. With thousands of fans eager to jump and shout along to all of their hits, the amazing band has been shaking venues for more than ten years.

There was love, and there was music. During her performance, Saumet took a minute to express her love and support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The sight of a supporter holding up a Mexican flag in pride colors while she spoke was moving.

In November, Bomba Estéreo will travel to Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, and Switzerland. This was their final US trip. On December 3, their tour will come to an end in Spain.
