Singer-songwriter, rapper, and actor Nicky Jam is the new protagonist of the action-comedy Regulators acquired by Universal Pictures studio. The Puerto Rican superstar will be co-producing the Hollywood movie via his music label La Industria, along with Will Smith, Jon Mone, Miguel Melendez, and Heather Washington.
Most details about the film still haven’t been revealed, but Brooks McLaren and DJ Cotrona are rumored to be in charge of the screenplay. The pair have previously worked together on the script for the documentary film Fight or Flight back in 2017.
Nicky Jam has been showing off his acting skills ever since he first made an appearance in XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017). The urban artist had also landed a role in Bad Boys for Life, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Moreover, he released the docuseries Nicky Jam: El Ganador on Netflix in 2018, which brought him and the platform massive success.
2022 has been Nicky Jam’s year. In addition to the release of his new album Infinity, the pioneer of the Latin urban music genre will receive the Billboard Hall Of Fame award, where he will be performing his new single “Sin Novia.”
