Andrea Silva, also known as Loyal Lobos, is a multilingual indie-pop musician who has dropped her dreamy new tune, “Bummed.” The singer-songwriter with a home base in Los Angeles, California, and a native of Bogotá, Colombia, has joined Saban Music Group.
Her first new song since the stand-alone singles “Hate My Face” and “Amor Como Pual” from last year, as well as her critically praised 2020 debut album, Everlasting, is “Bummed.” She is confronted with the afterglow of a party she can’t wait to leave in the song, which was co-produced by Loyal Lobos and longtime collaborator Evan Voytas.
George Gallardo, who was also in charge of directing, shot the video in Mexico City. “Bummed” is Loyal Lobos at her most assured, and it’s the intriguing first taste of more brand-new music to come. It has light electronic beats that highlight her particular lyrical sense of humor.
Silva mentions:
“‘Bummed’ is the story of a night out. Sometimes being surrounded by people can feel more isolating than anything else. This song describes that feeling of coming back down after losing yourself in a crowd.”
The New Yorker, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, i-D/Vice, Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist, NPR Music, Pitchfork, The FADER, Remezcla, PAPER Magazine, American Songwriter, LA Weekly, and other publications have praised and supported Loyal Lobos’ debut releases.
