Rosalía Gets Down With Tourists In “Despechá” Music Video

1 min read

Rosalía broke the internet with the release of her “Despechá” music video. It has been trending ever since it premiered on Wednesday, garnering more than four million views and hundreds of thousands of likes. The hit song is from the artist’s MOTOMAMI album, which was released in March via Columbia.

Directed by Mitch Ryan, who has previously worked on Rosalía’s “Hentai” music video, “Despechá” takes place at the beautiful Mallorca beaches, packed with tourists, depicting those lazy and careless summer days with friends and family. In the majority of the shots, Rosalía is seen dancing and singing, while being garnished with tiny seashells.

The video perfectly complements the lyrics: “Baby/ No me llames/ Que yo estoy ocupá’/ Olvidando tus males.” Rosalía is clearly enjoying her time at the beach and doesn’t want to be bothered by a call, as she’s too busy having fun and forgetting all the bad things her “baby” has done.

Rosalía is touring around South America, and is soon to perform in the United States and Europe as well.
