Fans Choose BTS’ “Proof” Anthology Album as This Week’s Favorite New Music

Proof, BTS’ highly anticipated anthology album, has taken the top spot in this week’s new music vote. Music lovers chose the superstar K-pop group’s latest release as their favorite new music release of the week in a poll published on Billboard on June 10.

Proof received over 88 percent of the vote, outperforming new songs by Halsey (“So Good”), Demi Lovato (“Skin of My Teeth”), Carrie Underwood (Denim & Rhinestones), Lizzo (“Grrrrls”), and others.

Proof, which was released by BigHit Music, is a joyful look back on BTS’ last near-decade as a band. Members RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, V, Suga, and J-Hope carefully chose and compiled tracks from the three-disc compilation as a present to the ARMY.

The new track “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” is also included on the album. The accompanying music video for “Yet to Come,” which features the septet promising their loyal following that “the best moment is yet to come,” was released on June 10 alongside the anthology album.

Halsey’s swoony new single “So Good,” which was released last week following conflict with the singer’s record company, Capitol Music Group, came in second with nearly 4% of the vote. Halsey said that the song is inspired by their relationship with boyfriend Alev Aydin, who directed and co-starred in the music video.

The results of this week’s new music release vote are shown below.
