Music critics love Harry Styles’ new album, Harry’s House

Music critics have praised Harry Styles’ highly anticipated new album Harry’s House for its “abundant charm,” “really well-crafted pop songs,” and “moments of absolute beauty.”

According to the New York Times, it is the next step in the former One Direction member’s “truly remarkable reinvention.”

Will Hodgkinson described it as “a masterclass in becoming a credible artist without alienating the hordes of formerly teenage fans who made you a pop sensation in the first place,” but said its lyrics are its weakest point.

Alexis Petridis of The Guardian said the lyrics as “canny – though perhaps not particularly deep.”

It’s also worth noting that Rolling Stone described the artist as “a Mick Jagger for our more enlightened age.”
