Camila Cabello, a loyal Floridian, has been working behind the scenes since her home state passed the Parental Rights in Education Act, also known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. The artist announced the establishment of the Protect Our Kids Fund on Sunday, May 8. The fund, which was established in collaboration with Equality Florida and Lambda Legal, protects and assists children, families, and instructors who are affected by the new legislation.

Camila shared the news of the emergency fund’s opening on Instagram. “I am sooo thrilled to have spent Mother’s Day helping @lambdalegal and @equalityfl in launching the Protect Our Kids Fund which supports litigation against the cruel legislation,” Camila commented alongside a photo from the occasion.
