We finally got a sneak peek of the “Call Me by Your Name” actor as the famous chocolate factory mogul Willy Wonka.
Chalamet himself posted a photo of himself in the Wonka costume to his over 14 million followers on Instagram with the caption “The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last …”
And that was enough to create a huge buzz on the Internet. One user commented, “OMG TIMOTHEE WONKA I’M SO EXCITED” and another wrote, “I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED FOR ANYTHING.” Even Chalamet’s “Dune” co-star Zendaya dropped a simple comment – “Absolutely.”
The IG post already garnered over 5 million likes in around a week.
The film titled “Wonka” will be directed by Paul King. It is set to be released in March of 2023 and will revolve around the backstory of Wonka himself. Thus, serving as a prequel to the original novel titled “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
