You heard it right, folks! ABBA is making headlines once again with a comeback like no other. Yes, that’s right. For the first time since their hiatus in 1982, Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, and Anni-Frid have teamed up to create projects that will definitely leave a huge mark in music history.
The band behind hits such as “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” and “Mamma Mia” are releasing brand-new music that will be featured in their upcoming album titled “Voyage.” The album will drop on November 5 of this year and will comprise 10 original songs, two of which – “Don’t Shut Me Down” and “I Still Have Faith In You” are already available to stream now.
In addition to the album, the Swedish pop icons announced that they will be giving a concert. Well, sort of. They are currently working on a unique concert experience that has the potential to revolutionize the industry as a whole. In short, they will pre-record themselves performing. Then thanks to the power of CGI and motion capture, a team will create digital younger versions of the four pop legends, which will technically be the ones you’ll witness during the show.
To understand more about what went into the making of the project and the technology used to actualize it, watch this video below:
It will take place in the Spring of 2022 in a newly built specially designed for the event in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
