House of Protection, Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison’s duo, released a new single, “Fire“. The single was released on March 21, 2025, through Red Bull Records and is the second single off their forthcoming sophomore EP, Outrun You All, due out May 23, 2025.
“Fire” is an octane blend of burning guitars, piercing sirens, and frantic lyrics that perfectly exemplify the punkish character of the band. The track is meant to ignite dance floors and mosh pits, something the House of Protection has managed to do. The band explained their concept behind the track:
“With ‘Fire,’ we hoped to create something upbeat and energetic. It’s more of a dance-mosh type of song. We’ve played it live before releasing it, and it’s now our go-to song to play.”
The song has been widely acclaimed by critics, who have praised its raw power and genre-bending quality. The music video was also released for fans to watch on March 25, 2025. The video is a psychedelic montage of box-headed figures engaging in activities like jet skiing and cheerleading, as is customary with the band in terms of visually flamboyant material.
“Fire” is just a sample of what’s to come from Outrun You All, an EP that taunts and provokes. The release includes influences as disparate as Atlanta trap beats and UK trip hop, post-punk, and stadium rock choruses, demonstrating the band’s fearlessly innovative spirit.
The EP title, Outrun You All, is presented as homage to friends and comrades who’ve fought against staying on their artistic paths. As Improta elaborated:
House of Protection has been thriving in 2025. They kickstarted this year early, performing alongside Bad Omens and Poppy in front of over 25,000 individuals. They also collaborated with Architects to come up with number one UK Rock and Metal song “Brain Dead.”.
The band have a hectic tour schedule in the future. They’ll tour the U.S. in April with Poppy, playing at major festivals such as Download, Reading, and Leeds. They’ll tour the EU/UK with Architects in October.
