The holiday season seems to hold a special place in your heart. How does Christmas influence the music you create, and what emotional atmosphere do you hope to evoke with your new tracks, “I’m Looking for Santa” and “I Believe in Christmas”?

The Christmas Holidays are a time for love, a time for giving, a time for remembering the past Christmases, and a time to give thanks for making another Christmas. In listening to my songs, I hope to inspire love, joy, and happiness.

“I’m Looking for Santa” offers a whimsical take on the holiday season. What inspired you to write a song about the search for Santa, and is there a personal memory or feeling behind this idea?

I’m Looking for Santa” is a story about my younger years. I was always told that Santa was on his way or I just missed him. I would always leave cookies and milk for him on Christmas Eve with my Christmas list. Guess what? The milk and cookies were gone, and the gifts were under the Christmas tree, but I was never able to find Santa. This is why, after many years, I am asking for help to find Santa, even if it’s only in my dream.

“I Believe in Christmas” feels nostalgic and heartfelt. How do you balance the sentimentality of traditional Christmas music with your own contemporary style to create something unique yet timeless?

This song relates to all that I have read, have been taught, have been told, and have imagined about Christmas. It’s dream land for me, and I truly enjoyed writing this song about the collection of past Christmas happenings and thoughts.

You’ve been building a tradition of holiday music with songs like “It’s Christmas Time Once Again.” How do you feel your holiday music has evolved from that track to your new releases, and what do you want listeners to take away from this progression?

The joy, happiness, love, and memories of past Christmases. I remember my Lionel train set, which I still have today. I remember the thrill of seeing the puffs of smoke emitting from the smoke stack as the train traveled on the tracks. What an exciting moment! Today, I get a Christmas card and a kiss from my love. I’m not complaining. I still love Christmas with my love and our songs and experiences about Christmas.

With your background in classical music and American standards, how does your early training influence the way you approach creating holiday songs, and how do you incorporate that into your sound today?

I am a little late in this music game. Early in my youth, I played the violin for 10+ years and enjoyed sing in the church choir. I even did a little corner block singing with my friend Bobby. We really sounded good. Unfortunately, I did not continue with my passion until many years later. My music writing and singing is a God-given talent, which I am blessed to have at this age. My songwriting and lyrics are a natural thing. This talent comes naturally from what I hear, see, think, and feel at the time. It’s all about my love for music and it’s influence on life.

Looking back on your career, what are some of the most memorable performances or experiences that have influenced your music?

My first performance as a violinist, my solo in the church choir “Why has thou forsaken me” and my performance in the Greater Philadelphia HS Ochestra. These memories are astounding and influential in my professional singing and recording of various ballads.

You’ve performed at iconic venues like Stone Pony and House of Independence. Is there a specific performance that stands out as a turning point in your career, especially regarding your live shows?

My live performance at the Carnival Cruise singing “My Way,” the Lake House Music Academy, and my love and passion for singing ballads truly inspired me to pursue my second career.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Tony Bennett, how do you pay tribute to these icons while ensuring that your music maintains its own distinct voice?

I enjoy singing, especially the love ballads, in my own style with natural feeling and passion. I am blessed to have a good voice level with tone and rhythm. It’s a natural thing.

Your sound blends elements of jazz, big band, and contemporary standards. As your music continues to evolve, are there any new genres or styles you’re excited to explore in the future?

Only my natural creativity knows. I’m looking forward to the future in fulfilling my appetite for creativity and song originality. It’s music that keeps me alive, and it’s the best communicator across all generations of people and time.
