North Carolina singer-songwriter Wesko has released his debut EP, “Lost Boys“. This release signifies his signing with Underscore Works Recordings / Warner Records. You can listen to it now below.
“‘The Lost Boys EP‘ is my favorite project so far. It includes some of my best songwriting and my favorite songs. We recorded this EP in a small shack behind my friend’s house, the same place where I’ve done all my previous work. I hope this gives my fans the most authentic Wesko experience possible,” Wesko shares. “I’m incredibly grateful to my hometown supporters who have been with me from the start, and to the Underscore Works/Warner Records team for helping a country boy’s dream come true.”
Staying true to his promise of “real cowboy tunes,” this four-track EP highlights Wesko as a genuine country songwriter, dynamic vocalist, and thoughtful storyteller. The opening and title track “Lost Boys” features a briskly strummed acoustic guitar and memorable lines like, “I spend all my nights somewhere between wrong and right, and I wonder how I ever made it out alive.” It builds up to a powerful chorus where he calls himself the “Founder of the Lost Boys”. Another track, “Psycho“, provides a vivid depiction of domestic tension and daily struggles, with the poignant line, “You think I’m psycho, don’t you mama?” The EP also includes the previously released tracks “Dreamer” and “Revelation“.
Originally from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has steadily made a name for himself as a country maverick with a talent for “real cowboy tunes.” Drawing inspiration from artists like Neil Young, Eric Church, My Chemical Romance, and Green Day, he has developed a unique and genuine style. Despite a demanding schedule balancing university studies at the University of Mount Olive and a full-time job as a foreman for an erosion control company, Wesko has gained a following with songs like “Burning House” and “No Surprise.” He built his audience gradually, gaining local support and expanding his presence on social media. Now signed with Underscore Works Recordings / Warner Records, Wesko puts everything into his debut “Lost Boys” EP, with more music on the horizon.
