Angelo Flow, the Venezuelan-born Londoner and rising star of Latin and reggaeton club culture, has teamed up with UK rap pioneer J Spades on his latest single “Hot Steppa”. Following on from his previous club hit “Solo Tu”, this new track is heavily influenced by Jamaican dancehall, fusing Caribbean and London vibes with Angelo’s falsetto vocals and J Spades’ legendary lyrical style.
The song is a perfect blend of reggaeton, electronic European sounds and Caribbean flow, with a touch of dirty Dutch in the mix. The collaboration of these two artists creates a unique sound that is both fresh and exciting, and sure to be a hit on dance floors worldwide.
“Hot Steppa” was released by Candela Records, in partnership with Atlantic Records UK. The UK’s first urban Latin label is on a mission to develop the unique fusion of homegrown urban beats with the sound of the Latin Caribbean, and bring this exciting new hybrid to the global stage.
The track was first performed live by Angelo Flow and J Spades at the Latino Life Festival 2022, the UK’s biggest Latin festival. The pair shut down Finsbury Park’s Candela Stage, performing in front of an audience of over 15,000 people, marking a new era in the history of Latin music in London.
Angelo Flow’s Latin-Caribbean crossover style and commercial sound has already gained him a strong following, with previous singles “Que Tu Quieres,” “Rosa Como Tusi,” “Soy un Santo” and “Solo Tu” all making waves in the Latin and reggaeton scenes. “Solo Tu” in particular was supported by US tastemaker DJs such as DJ City, DJ Phenom, Danny West, Vlatz, ETX, and NY DJ Kazzanova.
With “Hot Steppa”, Angelo Flow and J Spades have pushed the boundaries of Latin and urban music even further, creating a club banger that is sure to get people dancing all over the world. This exciting collaboration is one to watch, and with the support of Candela Records and Atlantic Records UK, it’s only a matter of time before Angelo Flow becomes a household name.
