JLO’s music video for “On The Floor” has exceeded two billion views on YouTube. Lopez had released the track in collaboration with Pitbull back in 2011. According to YouTube, the superhit has had an average of 500,000 views per day in 2022 alone.
“On The Floor” is sampled from “Lambada,” which was released in 1989 by the Pop band Kaoma. The song was a global success that topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in 1990. It re-emerged on the charts 20 years later, thanks to JLO’s version.
Lopez and Pitbull have proved time and again to be one of the most fruitful partnerships in the industry. The two have created massive hits together like “Dance Again,” “Back It Up,” ft. Prince Royce, and the 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP song “We Are One (Ole Ola)” with Claudia Leitte.
