Multi-award-winning artist The Weeknd is adding new accomplishments to his list of already many.
His latest endeavor is the HBO-produced series titled “The Idol.”
The singer-songwriter will not only star in the show but he is also the co-creator of the drama.
Other notable cast members include the likes of Troye Sivan, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe, Suzanna Son, Steve Zissis, and Anne Heche.

The show was first announced to be in development earlier this year, in June to be specific. The plot mainly revolves around the music industry. More predominantly about a music guru who also happens to be a sort of cult-like leader of an up-and-rising pop sensation.
