Sir Chloe Releases Emotional New Single “Eyes” Ahead of Swallow The Knife

Acclaimed songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Sir Chloe has unveiled “Eyes,” the latest single from her upcoming sophomore album, Swallow The Knife, set to arrive on August 22. The atmospheric ballad explores the transformative power of love after the end of a toxic relationship, marking a tender counterpoint to the raw intensity of her previous singles. The music video, directed by Jennifer Medina, visually captures the song’s intimate and reflective mood.

“Much of this record is about recovering from an abusive relationship,” Sir Chloe explains. “‘Eyes’ is about falling in love again, and how that love has colored my life, rewired my brain, and made me believe in people again. Love can’t save you unless it comes from yourself, but sometimes you find a love that makes loving yourself worth the trouble.”

While prior releases from the album—such as “The Hole,” “Forgiving,” and “Passenger”—channeled Sir Chloe’s fury and resentment, “Eyes” highlights her journey toward healing and self-empowerment. The track is part of a larger narrative within Swallow The Knife, which reflects on the aftermath of abuse, emotional recovery, and reclaiming personal strength.

Known for her visceral, grunge-infused rock sound rooted in 90s and 2000s influences—from PJ Harvey and Hole to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Metric—Sir Chloe has consistently blended modern confessional storytelling with edgy instrumentation. Her 2020 EP Party Favors went Gold on three tracks, while her 2023 debut album I Am The Dog amassed over 20 million streams and led to sold-out tours and support slots with Beck, Phoenix, Japanese Breakfast, and Weyes Blood.

Sir Chloe has also announced a 36-date North American tour, including headline stops at Webster Hall in New York and The Fonda in Los Angeles. Tickets are now on sale.

Fans can stream “Eyes” now and experience a new, vulnerable side of Sir Chloe as she prepares for the release of Swallow The Knife.
