Emerging from the heart of South London with roots deeply planted in Lagos, Nigeria, artist and producer StyllerSupreme makes a bold, emotional, and sonically rich entrance with his debut EP, First District. A vibrant blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and hip-hop, the project not only reintroduces StyllerSupreme as a dynamic voice in Afrofusion but also marks a triumphant personal return following a period of health setbacks. Produced alongside acclaimed collaborators Pjay and IndoMix, the EP is an immersive experience that channels romantic vulnerability, cultural pride, and the thrill of new beginnings. From the amapiano-charged ‘Party Jollof’ to the heartfelt closer ‘Trance,’ First District captures the sound of a rising star coming into his ownâunapologetically honest, rhythmically bold, and ready to take up space on a global stage.
How did returning to Lagos impact the making of First District?
Returning to Lagos, I really got to understand that music consumption is completely different in Nigeria. The struggle is real, so like a piece of joy to the tough life many are living, music is really appreciated. I just want to represent my homeland, so making ‘First District,’ I wanted to create relatable Afrobeat music people can catch vibes to.
How would you describe the overall sound of your new release, First District?
Iâd say the overall sound of the project is unique, fun, romantic, and quite traditional.

Does the EP capture your own love story?
Yes, this EP was made from my very own romantic experiencesÂ
Youâve been compared to artists like Fireboy DML, Burna Boy, and Remaâdo you see them as inspirations, peers, or something else entirely?
Yeah, definitely, not only just as peers, but guys like Burna Boyâs music, I really see as an inspirationÂ
You worked with Pjay and IndoMix on this EPâwhat did they bring to the table that helped shape the projectâs final sound?
Working with Pjay, who produced two of the tracks in the EP, was pure positive energy in the studio. We vibe so well; heâs got really good ears. I trusted his ideas on the production, which came out really good. IndoMix did the mix and master for the songs âFeelingâ and âParty Jollofâ in the studio at the time. They were both committed to making this project come out great.Â

Due to your health issues, you had a long setback from making music. Did it find any reflection in your music?
Yes, having to prioritize my health to be at my best and understanding the changes in lifestyle was challenging. I wasnât able to really focus properly on music and releasing music, not that I didnât try but it was not going as it shouldâveÂ
As a producer, what valuable lessons have you learned, and how have they influenced your work as an artist?
Iâve learned the importance of making sure I continue working on my craft, keeping up with music as in like music taste changesâit may be sound or tempo or instrumentalâknowing whatâs currently relevant in the music world is important, which really influences my work as an artist.
Youâve already hinted at more singles and another EP in 2025. Will you explore a new side of love?
Yes, definitely the lover boy will be back at it again with different sides of love, different perspectives, and love storiesâyouâll still hear from me.
