“This Summer” is one of the eleven tracks included on the album, which also features previously released singles “Bunky Pop” and “Wanna Start a Band?”. The lyrics address the urgency and transient life, with phrases like “This summer might be your last” and “No more pleasure, no more pain.”
The album, Bunky Becky Birthday Boy, honors Krauss’ late dog, Riz, and celebrates the birth of her son, Wilder. The duo has incorporated these personal stories into their music, creating a narrative that fuses autobiography with fiction.
Sleigh Bells is recognized for dynamic live performances and has announced a tour to promote the new album. The tour will begin in May 2025, with performances planned across the U.S. and Canada, including major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Toronto.
