Reggaeton pioneer Don Omar is giving fans even more reason to celebrate! While currently on the road for his “Back To Reggaetón” tour, Omar has announced an exciting second leg, extending the party well into fall.
This news comes as the Puerto Rican hitmaker continues to dominate stages across the United States. The first leg of the CMN-produced tour, marking Omar’s grand return to the stage after a decade, kicked off in March. The phenomenal response has prompted the addition of 18 new dates.
The second leg kicks off on August 7th in Oakland, California, roughly four months after the first leg wraps. Fans in San Diego, Portland, Tampa, and Ontario will get to experience the high-energy show for the first time.
Don Omar’s “Back To Reggaetón” tour has already proven to be a massive success, grossing an impressive $17.8 million and selling a staggering 146,000 tickets across its first 14 shows (through April 7th). These numbers are proof of Omar’s enduring influence and the enduring popularity of reggaeton music.
This tour marks not only Omar‘s first major headlining tour in a decade, but also his first since the co-headlining “Kingdom Tour” with Daddy Yankee in 2015. In an interview with Billboard prior to the tour launch, Omar expressed his excitement for the opportunity to perform a wider range of his music: “I’ve never had the opportunity to sing my entire repertoire because I never have enough time onstage,” he said. “But this tour demands two full hours of music.”
And a full two hours it is! Fans can expect a captivating live experience featuring Omar performing a string of his greatest hits, including “Salió El Sol,” “Hasta Abajo,” “Pobre Diabla,” “Ella y Yo,” and “Dile.”
Tickets for the second leg of “Back To Reggaetón” go on sale Wednesday, April 17th. Don’t miss your chance to witness reggaeton royalty in action!
