Queen Naija has joined forces with rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again to deliver their latest single, “No Fake Love.”
In this track, which cleverly samples Amerie‘s “Why Don’t We Fall In Love,” Queen Naija makes it explicitly clear that she has no tolerance for a partner who isn’t loyal and doesn’t share a genuine connection with her. In the first verse, she sings, “So many bands I’m runnin’ thru / So much that I wanna do / It’s starting to become so clear me / Need more than love, I need loyalty / I can buy my own, I don’t need a loan / Don’t need no chaperone / I’m already grown.”
YoungBoy adds his perspective in his verse, rapping as a partner who seeks the same love reciprocated: “How you talk to me bout love and this you show me? / I ain’t whatchu like, then coach me.”
Accompanying “No Fake Love” is a vibrant music video directed by Sara Lacombe. Filmed in Miami, the video captures Queen Naija enjoying the sun by the pool and sharing lively moments with her friends on a boat. In between, she spends quality time with YoungBoy and friends for a night out on the town.
