One of the songs from Daisy Jones & The Six’s new Amazon Prime series, “Look At Us Now (Honeycomb),” was covered by Maren Morris and Marcus Mumford. Mumford had initially contributed to the soundtrack of the programme. The pair also provided a behind-the-scenes look at their interpretation. This time, Mumford explained, “we stripped the song right back down to acoustic guitar and a vocal, which is how it was originally, and kind of built it back up from there until we came on an arrangement that we loved.

According to Rolling Stone, he continued, “I’ve been a fan of Maren for a long time—both her solo music and her work with The Highwomen—and this duet needed a voice like hers. We are sincerely grateful that she consented to participate. Blake Mills once more provided the acoustic take, with Morris taking on Daisy’s fictitious vocal parts. “Shows that portray the realities of what it takes to start a band or what touring is truly like so frequently get it wrong. One element of Daisy Jones is how genuine songwriting was used to anchor this made-up world, Morris continued. The devastating authenticity of this universe is given by the music that Blake Mills composed for the production and the outstanding acting by the performers.
