Cimo Fränkel Returns With Genre-Bending Single “Closed The Door”

Following “Go Your Own Way” and “Where Do You Hide Your Love,” the Platinum-certified artist, Cimo Fränkel, drops a new electro-pop track called “Closed The Door.” Released via Cimo Fränkel / AWAL, the song talks about “a relationship coming to an end. It’s about being courageous enough to speak up and accepting the consequences of making the decision that it’s over.”

“Closed The Door” is an honest breakup letter. The Amsterdam-born artist lets go of his lover in the most respectful way possible, “I thought that I could spare your feelings/ I said we had a future/ That all will be alright over time/ Saying words I thought you needed/ I’ve been running round scared and I/ Knew it wasn’t gonna last another month/But at the end I gotta tell you/ I think I finally gotta man up/ I ain’t scared to let you go (I promise)/ Not afraid to tell you so, I wanted to do it long ago/ I should’ve closed the door.”

Inspired by Michael Jackson, Huey Lewis, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, and Tate McRae, Cimo Fränkel integrates R&B, funk, and electro-pop elements into his songs. In addition to “Closed The Door,” the multi-talented producer had also released the Deluxe version of his self-titled 2020 album, earlier this year.
