One of the leading stars of the Latin Pop genre Becky G is speechless as her latest song “Bailé Con Mi Ex,” reaches the top of the Latin Airplay Chart. The Mexican-American singer tweeted a video of herself expressing gratitude: “GUYS Baile Con Mi Ex just became my first solo No. 1 on the Latin Airplay Chart! No tengo palabras. Gracias gracias gracias!!!”
The “RAM PAM PAM” singer has been on the rise this year with multiple record-breaking collabs, including “MAMIII” with Karol G, which reigned at the No.1 spot for three weeks, garnering 400 million worldwide streams. Becky G’s second studio album Esquemas was released on May 13, 2022 via Kemosabe Records, RCA Records, and Sony Music Latin. The record hit the charts of Latin Pop Albums and stayed there for eight weeks.
“Bailé Con Mi Ex” is this decade’s seventh solo song by a female artist to top the Latin Airplay charts. Becky G also nabbed a nomination at the MTV VMA’s in the Best Latin category.
