Due to his ongoing struggle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, Justin Bieber has postponed the remainder of his North American tour.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the uncommon disease “occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears,” as Bieber revealed in a video he released last Saturday (June 11).
Bieber promised followers that his facial paralysis will pass with time as he struggled to blink, smile, or move his right nostril. He recently provided an update and noted that “each day has grown better,” adding that his Christian faith has helped him deal with the condition.
The remainder of the pop star’s North American tour dates were revealed by concert promoter AEG on Thursday (June 16).
Justin continues to receive the best medical care available, is optimistic about his recovery, and is eager to get back on the road,” AEG says.
