Kate Bush is ecstatic that her 1985 hit “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” was featured in the fourth season of Stranger Things.

In a rare public remark, the British art rock queen expressed her delight at the increased interest in her song “Running Up That Hill” following its inclusion in the first season of the Netflix sci-fi series set in the 1980s.

“You might’ve heard that the first part of the fantastic, gripping new series of ‘Stranger Things’ has recently been released on Netflix,” Bush posted on her personal website. “It features the song, ‘Running Up That Hill’ which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show — I love it too!”

Last week, Billboard reported that “Running Up That Hill” had seen a massive increase in Spotify streams, with the song’s U.S. plays increasing by 9,900 percent from Thursday to Monday (May 30). Despite receiving daily streams in the 20,000s as recently as May 26, “Running Up That Hill” has subsequently racked up millions of daily streams in the United States, according to Luminate, while also selling thousands of copies on a daily basis.

All of this should lead to the song debuting on a variety of Billboard sales and streaming charts (as of June 11), as well as a possible re-entry into the all-genre, multi-metric Billboard Hot 100.
