In a recent interview with NME, Willow Smith talked about the ongoing racism present in the rock music scene.

“By the end of the show, the people who were calling her racial slurs and throwing things at her were like, ‘Actually, they kinda went off’. That made it really worth it,” she added.

WILLOW also explained how her mother, Jada Pinkett-Smith, was the one who introduced her to the music scene. She, as a child would watch her mom thriving in her career, but she would also witness her combating racism.

“She showed me what being a woman is really all about,” she commented.
